artist statement

Our connection to nature is ancestral.

It lives in our bones, our breath, our instincts. Like a forgotten memory, a pulse. I make work to remember that, to touch what we often forget but still carry.

I think of my work as a bridge. When working, I'm searching for traces of that original link. Through sculpting, preserving, gestures, and layering, I create conditions where nature's behaviors can continue unfolding, revealing the primal intelligence within form, line, material, and raw existence. The work is a kind of conversation, a way of saying, I remember you.

In the end, the pieces breathe on their own. They continue becoming long after my intervention ends, reminding us that what we call nature is not outside of us.
