artist statement
Our connection to nature is ancestral.
It lives in our bones, our breath, our instincts. Like a forgotten memory, a pulse. I make work to remember that, to touch what we often forget but still carry.
I think of my work as a bridge. When working, I’m searching for traces of that original link. Through sculpting, preserving, gestures, and layering, I try to reveal the primal intelligence within form, line, and raw existence. The work is a kind of conversation, a way of saying, I remember you.
If I do it right, the pieces breathe on their own. They remind us that what we call nature is not outside of us.
