Exposure was one of the first oblivions that came to mind when creating this collection. On the surface, feel exposed is to be afraid of our inner world being on display. There are thousands of moment in which we experience fear of it. Not all of those moments come to be. But when they do, we feel it down in depths of our soul. Our basic human instincts are online and we feel fear. Fear that we'll be rejected from the group. And shame that we're not good enough to be there.

But there's another side of exposure. It's when you decide to not let shame take the wheel, and let vulnerability drive. You choose not to believe the inner monologue of "I'm not good enough". Instead you choose to believe that you belong and are worthy of connection. You bravely speak your inner world out loud for another to hear because on the other side of that is belonging. Vulnerability is a form of exposure, but it's one that is built upon belonging and self worth. I've felt both sides of this emotion and this piece to me is vulnerability in action. There's uncertainty in being seen so raw, but there's a warmth when someone else says "That sounds hard. Tell me more." Inspired by Brene Brown and her life's work around shame and vulnerability.
