We build our armor up to shield us from more wounds. More scars. More hurt. Our scars are hardened and healed reminders. Reminders of when we got hurt, but the part we forget is, we got back up. We’re standing here today. 

Somewhere in between shields and scars is where we find our true selves. The ones that have boundaries and vulnerability. The ones who want to be seen and loved. Who have learned through trial and error how to connect without armor or fear of being hurt. It takes incredible courage to live in that place. But so far for me, it’s been rewarding to discover it. To not rely on my armor for everything. To let people in and see and hear my experiences and to hear theirs. It’s where the richest parts of life can be. There might be areas I wear armor with, but I try stop myself when I notice I'm beginning to put it on. The armored soul is one that is never truly seen. And to me, that feels like being robbed of life.

From my ‘Moments of Oblivion’ Collection: For decades I took in the information that formed this collection. All the moments that felt like they would destroy me. Whether it was deep loneliness, broken relationships, breaking from what I had been taught, or incredibly hard conversations. These moments felt like oblivion was upon me. A lot of growth came through this phase of life, so while the collection title is a bleaker one, the empowerment and resilience felt is baked into each of these pieces and the way they stand strong.

We build our armor up to shield us from more wounds. More scars. More hurt. Our scars are hardened and healed reminders of our bravery when we put that armor down. A reminder that we got hurt, but the part we forget is, we got back up. Somewhere in between shields and scars is where we find our soft inner selves that just want to be seen and loved. And finding that place is hard on a good day, and obliterating on a bad one.

  • Mugs are a healthy 15oz. Trust me when I say it is the size you want when settling into a conversation over coffee or tea. It's big enough to hold pencils or brushes. 

  • Tote bags are double sided durable canvas. Come in 3 sizes that can cover you for groceries, quick trips out or beach days.

  • Pillows are super soft and art is printed edge to edge. Choose stuffed or unstuffed, zipper or no zipper. All machine washable. 

  • Stickers are great adds to gift wrapping, water bottles, laptops or anywhere you collect your stickers. I personally love them on my studio toolboxes and work tables.
