Buying art can be intimidating, and I'm here to say, loudly, it doesn't have to be!
The secret is tuning into what strikes you. It can be surprising. Make you smile. It can go deeper and be the artist's point of view. Or it make you wonder. All of these reactions are the reasons even the most seasoned art collectors buy art. That's it! And if you're gifting art, tell them why you thought of them. The story of why is a genuine connection worth sharing with them. And it can be something as simple as their favorite color.

For the plant lovers.
Art and plants are a natural fit for any space. And because my art is full of natural textures, it will fit right in with plant babies.
How to buy for this group:
- Start with color: Look for art prints or original art color studies with soft pinks and greens. These will layer in easily to a plant collection.
- Frame it in wood: This adds a natural layer to the already natural space. Check out my wood prints for art prints. For my original studies, these are easy to find a wood frame for at a Target or Ikea.
For the chic, minimalists.
For moms who have embraced a minimalist approach to their space, art rounds out the vision.

- Keep it airy. For this group, prints with plenty of white space will match the airy minimalist style.
- Add a white boarder. Buy art prints and add 1" border or a 3" or 4" mat. This gives more white space to any print and give it air to breathe in the frame.
- Frame it for them. Art as a gift is best when it's ready to hang. I have a lot of options for minimalist framing. Choose one of my black or white frames with 3" or 4" mats.
For the new parents who deserve to be spoiled.
Art and kids are meant to be together. It adds warmth to a baby's room and it adds dimension when partnered with baby photos on a gallery wall.

- Original art on a budget: My original studies are a budget friendly way to have original art. Seeing all the original layers, textures and mediums is so special and make them feel loved.
- Limited editions: My limited editions are another way to make someone feel special. Because, well, they're limited. Plus, they're easy to find frame sizes, so Target is your friend!
- Have either personalized: A benefit of both of these is I touch every piece that leaves my studio. I love adding in personal notes for collectors. It's free, just ask!
For the fearless.
You know the fearless when you met them. They live out loud and welcome everyone into their worlds. They have big, recognizable laughs and live in the moment.
How to buy for this group:
- Buy with gusto. Go bold and choose art with big color and movement. This group will love it.
- Add a big mat for big impact. Prints with a 3"-4" mat creates show stopping drama to a gift and room.
- Spice it up with metal or wood prints. Both of these are impressive with their dimension and visual quality. Either will make a big impression!
